How much home can I get in Apex North Carolina for My Money?

Even with the economy still struggling to climb out of the hole and real estate still waiting to see where the bottom is in some parts of the country, here in Apex North Carolina homes are still selling well.

Last week Apex made one of the famous Forbes lists of best places to live- rising all the way to NUMBER 3 this year in the country for towns over 25,000 in population.

So once again, it's time for my semiannual, sometimes monthly, once in a while, list of homes for sale in Apex, North Carolina as well as a report on how sales are going.

For the month of June 2009, a total of 64 homes closed. The average price for these closed homes was $265,919.00 and the average Days on Market was 78.

Continuing with the good news, 78 homes went under contract and an additional 28 are pending with a contingent contract on them.

Now the question is, so what's for sale now? Moreover, what can I get in my price range?

Currently in Apex there are 41 homes priced under $200,000. Many of these homes have a garage and a nice lot.

As with most areas of the Triangle area, the majority of homes are priced between $200,000 and 300,000. The average price for homes sold in June of 2009 in Apex was $265,919.
