Today in Asheville, NC is the Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands. It will be held at the Asheville Civic Center from 10am to 6pm. Since 1948, The Southern Highlands Craft Fair has been showcasing the work of Sothern Appalachian artists.
Meet the artists and see their crafts, including demonstrations of basket weaving, woodworking, pottery and more. You will also find regional music, great local foods and more.
It is a beautiful day today and the Civic Center is located in the Heart of Downtown Asheville, so come on down to Asheville and enjoy walking through Romantic Asheville.
If you miss this show, you can see the work of these artists displayed at the Folk Art Center located on the Blue Ridge Parkway, located at mile marker 382. This is a beautiful drive and well worth the trip to the Folk Art Center.
This is one of the best collections of some of the most stunning artwork created by local artists. If you are in the area I hope that you can take the time to see their work.
