We attended the 13th annual Easter Wonderland Easter egg hunt today located in beautiful Brevard, North Carolina. The Easter egg event was hosted by the Brevard Ladies Auxiliary VFW 4309. This was the 4th or 5th year in a row that we attended. There were Easter egg hunts for children in different age groups. They had a fun time collecting eggs filled with candy and different prize tickets. We left with baskets full of candy, a few soft and cuddly stuffed bunnies, a bicycle helmet and a picture with the Easter Bunny. There was also Fire, Rescue and Law Enforcement Exhibitors. Thank you to the VFW Ladies. Our girls look forward to this great time every year.

These include special events such as the Annual Squirrel Box Derby, antique auto show, Old Time Music Competition, and Main Street Alive. The city is nicknamed "The Land of the Waterfalls" due to the many waterfalls in the area, including Looking Glass, Connestee Falls, and Sliding Rock.

Brevard is less than 30 miles from Asheville, 20 miles from Hendersonville, and less than 3 hours from major metropolitan areas of Charlotte, NC; Knoxville, TN; Atlanta, GA. Also we are located just a stone's throw from many of the area's best attractions such as the Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock and Grandfather Mountain and very convenient connection to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
