Cary, NC: Lazy Daze. Sounds like my sort of gig...

And it was.

Mrs. and I went to downtown Cary today and perused the arts and crafts on display, along with about 50,000 of our closest friends.

We saw exhibitors from as far away as Austin, TX, and some fine local talent, too.  North Carolina was well-represented.

It was a pleasant surprise to see the level of talent on display.  Sure, there were some common kitschy things, but overall, some of the jewelry, wood and metal working, photography and water colors were very enjoyable.

We came home with a bright photo of pansies.  It will pop up in a corner of the house that needs to be brightened. 

Lazy Daze is usually the 3rd or 4th Saturday in August.  We will have the 34th annual Cary Lazy Daze Arts and Crafts Festival on our calendars, for sure!
