RTP Hospital Named in the Top 100 Hospitals

REX Hospital of Raleigh was named to the top hospital in the USA. Specifically it scored high marks as one of the nest large community hospitals nation-wide . On August 11, the Healthcare business of Thomson Reuters announced the release of the fifth edition of the 100 Top Hospitals: Performance Improvement Leaders study.

Rex Hospital of Raleigh:

• Had fewer than expected patient deaths and adverse safety events
• Increased expenses only 2.5 percent during the five-year study period, on average
• Increased profit margin from less than 1 percent to 6.9 percent
• Reduced average length of stay by nearly a day, despite greater severity of illness

REX Hospital serves all surrounding towns of Raleigh incvluding Cary, Morrisville and Holly Springs. It is twenty minutes from the northwest corner of Cary. REX Hospital is just off Highway 40's Wade Ave Extension at Blue Ridge Road. The RTP area is certainly lucky to have such a wonderful hospital close by.
