Cary NC's Prestonwood hosts PGA Champions Tour - SAS Golf Tournament

Cary NC's Prestonwood hosts PGA Champions Tour - SAS Golf Tournament for the 10th year this past weekend September 24-26.  The professional senior golfers from all over the country descended on Prestonwood Country Club to compete for the 2.5 million in prize money and points for the Charles Schwab Cup.  

Preston spent weeks sprucing up and the PGA finished the process building sky boxes, TV booths, grandstands and vendor locations.  Estimates of 50,000 spectators came to see the pros. Not to mention the GOLF Channel broadcasted from Preston during prime time.  Our little city, Cary NC, was on the world stage!

This year the SAS Golf Tournament included big names like Fred Couples, Fuzzy Zeller, Nick Price.....

Cary NC weather played its part and provided blue skies and warm temps for the pros to shine.  As an avid golfer watching the pros is a wonderful experience, especially from my back deck.  Friends and fellow golfers gathered on our deck for the best view on the course.
