Endurance

Today I was asked to share a story about a defining moment in my childhood. I chose to talk about the loss of a dear relative at a very young age. The call to action of my story was about how life is full of set backs that you very well may never recover from. As I began to tell my story I was overwhelmed with many emotions of past failures, mistakes, and circumstances beyond my control. I began to cry.

Today, as I memorialized my loved one, I realized the reason his memory is so cherished is because of the lesson I took from his loss. In life you must endure. Good times come. Good times go. Terrible things may happen, but you must endure. My hope is that one day I will be with my loved one again, and this life will be rewarded for a much better one. However, until that day comes I must live my best life here and now. I must endure triumphantly!
So I would challenge each of you on your individual journeys through life, success, and in love to endure. The true rewards in life are most often gained through loss, pain, and challenge, because you endured to tell the story of how you survived.

In this day and age times are tough. Hope is thin, and assurance is fleeting. Our stability and markets are but a vapor that are here today and gone tomorrow. One thing I've learned in the last 10 years in the mortgage industry is that good times come, and they go... but you must endure. The test of your strength is always in your ability to withstand and keep moving onward and upward. Keep dreaming, keep buying, keep selling, keep believing. Keep the hope of your better tomorrow alive!
