My favorite restaurant in the University or NE part of Charlotte NC is Nakato Japanese Steakhouse. You will have a great meal with more food than you can eat and watch a cooking show in action at the Hibachi grill. I never even knew that I liked Japanese food so much until I went to Nakatos.

Your meal is started with soup that is perfect on a cold rainy day. Then you get the salad with the yummy ginger dressing. Then there is a shrimp appetizer. The food just keeps on coming.... Then you are served the sauteed vegetables and noodles. Last you are served your meat meal (shrimp, chicken, steak, scallops or a combination of any). There is more food than you can eat. They will also serve you fried rice if you request.

You can tell the Japanese chefs take pride in what they do. Most try to have fun with their table with tricks like the volcano, flipping the shrimp tells, and juggling the knives. It is a fun experience for any age.
