Charlotte Area Real Estate Sales are Up, But Prices are Down
The Charlotte, NC area Real Estate market saw a significant 26.8% increase of sold homes from November 2010 to December 2010. These statistics were based on Mecklenburg, Union, Gaston and Iredell counties. Overall, we saw a 23.4% increase of sold homes from December 2009 through December 2010.
It appears that our Charlotte Area
inventory or volume of homes in the market is slowly shrinking, but the sales prices of homes are lower than usual. It is still a buyers market which is an explanation of basic economic theory of supply and demand.
