Like I've posted before, Charlotte offers quick and easy ways to get out for the weekend, or for a week off. There is so much to do around Charlotte, that it would take a long time to do it all.
If you're into hunting, please don't do it in Charlotte. There are a ton of people around and, I just don't think it will end well. Even though you can see deer inside the city limits, just don't do it. There are all kinds of places to hunt outside of Charlotte though. And if you don't like to hunt, but just want to shoot guns, there are places near Indian Trail that ar dedicated skeet shooting ranges.
Indian Trail is not far from Charlotte and offers easy access to the city from several major arteries. On surface streets, an Indian Trail resident can get to Charlotte on Monroe Road. I485 makes Independence Boulevard, a major artery accessable. I 485 also makes it easy to get to I 77, another easy way to get downtown.
There are tons of neighborhoods and towns outside of Charlotte that offer suburban or rural living but with the improvements in the transportation infastructure around Charlotte, have become very accessible to the city itself.
