I'm excited to bring a new event and venue to our members! I've been contacted by the owners of La Parisienne Chocolate, Coffee, and Wine, a quaint little confection shop located on Main St in Cornelius (Hwy 115 - the same road as Campania Cafe). The store just opened in November, and they are having their first wine tasting ever on Thursday, March 25, and they want our group to be a part of it.

The price for the tasting is $8.50, and includes 4 wines, plus a selection of fine chocolates. You read that right... CHOCOLATE WILL BE SERVED. The owners are anxious to welcome our group and become a regular part of our event schedule, so let's have a great turnout and enjoy an evening of wine and chocolate with familiar friends. A tentative wine list is as follows:

Tempra Tantrum - Spanish granache
Callia Malbec (Argentinian)
Jadot (French white blend)
O'Mara's Irish Creme (wine based - tastes like Bailey's)

As always with the tastings, the wines are subject to changes based on availability, but this sounds like an interesting selection for our first event at La Parisienne!

Chef Kristin Bou Zeidan studied the art of making fine chocolate in Paris, and then decided to open her shop right here in Lake Norman. They offer a huge selection of various chocolates from which to choose, as well as gourmet coffees, and even a nice selection of mostly French wines. To learn a bit more about their shop and background, I have included a link from Creative Loafing.
