With a population of about 8,300, Davidson, North Carolina is known for its quaint Main Street, tree-lined sidewalk neighborhoods and Davidson College. Founded in 1837, the independent, liberal arts school has about 1,700 students. New neighborhoods are required to incorporate a variety of lot sizes and housing types. This area is highly desirable due to Davidson’s close proximity to Lake Norman’s new up-scale developments, as well as the allure of the town’s historic charm. Davidson is located 25 miles North of Uptown Charlotte off I-77’s Exit 30.

Brick sidewalks, shaded streets, and “The Harvard of the South” – Davidson College – define this area of Charlotte real estate. (Lake Norman is much larger than Lake Davidson, and more suitable for ski boats). Easy access to I-77 on exit 33 is also appealing for many homeowners in this area.
