Denver Days Fall Festival coming next week!

Lake Norman Real Estate Blog:
Denver Days Fall Festival

The Denver Days Fall Festival is bringing surf, sand and shag from the East Coast of the Carolinas to the western shore of Lake Norman.

Denver Days Inc., a private, nonprofit organization of citizens and business owners dedicated to serving the community and improving recreational facilities for the area, sponsors the seventh annual Sept. 23-26 event. Proceeds from the festival are put back into the community through groups.

Also, the money goes into an investment account, which will eventually be used to develop a park where the community can have events.

The Craig Woolard Band will kick off the festival with a performance at 8 p.m. on Sept. 25. The Entertainers will take the stage at 4 p.m. Sept. 26, with Mark Roberts and Breeze at 6 p.m. The Embers will close out the concert series at 8 p.m. that evening. An Interdenominational Evening of Gospel and Inspirational Song is new to the festival this year. The Sept. 23 event will feature various churches showing off their talents.

"Our hope is that this will be a time to cross denominational lines and share in an evening of spiritually inspirational performances with family, friends, neighbors and new acquaintances from across the country and around the lake," according to the official Denver Days web site.

In addition to the music, the festival boasts a large midway with over a dozen amusement rides, food vendors, exhibits and performances from local artists and dance teams.

A classic car show and hot rod cruise-in drive-in movie night, with dancing, music and awards, will be Sept. 24. Proceeds from the movie event will go toward Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe, or BRAKES, a program that promotes safe and responsible driving to young driver and their parents.

"The purpose of the Denver Days Festival is to provide a fun, family-oriented event that the entire community can enjoy, to enhance the civic pride in the Denver area, to showcase the community, and to raise funds for recreational facilities and additional resources for the community," according to a press release from festival president David Rohr.

Denver Days Fall Festival is located on N.C. 16 at the intersection of Triangle Circle Road, approximately five miles north of the N.C. 73 and N.C. 16 intersection.
