Flat Rock is a village in Henderson County, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Asheville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Flat Rock Historic District. The author, Carl Sandburg, actually lived in the Village of Flat Rock. This week will be a beautiful drive to the western part of NC,22 miles south of Asheville.
