Great photo JaneAnne, Looks like some of the trails I have run in the past.
I run trail races all across the country and my next one is Umstead State Park, Raleigh, NC ...oh and they are only 100 miles --haha I know it's nuts :-)
How close is that to asheville?

Looks nice, very different from the trails in Florida
I need to get back to your area again. But, as the current economic climate stands it looks as if my vacation this year will be to rebar camp in Denver.
But, my girlhood mind can still smell this trail.
