So the weather here in the Triad stinks today, it is cold and rainy. We are not quite getting into serious Spring weather- it seems that Winter is hanging on for dear life. Usually, we have been going right from Winter to Summer with almost no transition, but I guess this year it won't be that way.
We really are in a buyer's market here. I'm top-heavy with listings now, more than usual this time of year. As I drive around I'm seeing lots of signs.
Values are, I think, steady for those homes really ready to sell. The ones who sit and sit and take reductions are often those who simply will not listen to advice on preparing to sell. Stinky carpets, mangled walls, and obliterated bathrooms are not going to cut it in a competitive market, but people still expect top price.
The bottom line is that those who have the money can buy what they want, and those who are ready to sell can sell in a reasonable time. Based on what I see in the media, we are in a pretty good market postition here in the Triad area.
