Henderson County Library, Hendersonville NC
The Henderson County Library Main Branch is located at 301 North Washington Street, and is just two blocks off of Main Street in the Downtown area. It is a nice older building and has a lot of books. They have an extensive collection of Books on Tape, as well as CD's of a wide array of music. They do a great job of acquiring the latest new releases. I have been able to locate pretty much any book I want to read in the years I have been here. Henderson County has provided us with a computer room, and they have a computer system for looking for books. It is a very nice set up. There is a great selection of magazines to read, and there is a good sized large print books section. They also have a fantastic children's section. You can find events for kids and adults alike during the week. There are story time events as well as adult classes for learning how to use computers, software and even genealogy classes. The Henderson County Library has branch libraries located in Etowah, Fletcher, and Edneyville, as well as Hendersonville. If you come to town be sure and see what the Henderson County Library has to offer you.
