The 64-unit Villas at Forest Park is for low income senior adults.
The community is a public-private partnership involving Douglas Development LLC, Halcon Development LLC, Hart Development LLC, the local nonprofit Prosperity Unlimited Inc., the city of Kannapolis and the N.C. Housing Finance Agency.
One-bedroom units rent for $252, $417 and $442, and two-bedroom units for $289, $512 and $607, based on income.
The community has many amenities including a beauty salon, exercise room with a treadmill and a Nintendo Wii system, TV rooms, game room/craft room, community room with a kitchen for resident events, library, laundry rooms, outdoor gazebo and picnic area andoutdoor garden plots.
Team Honeycutt is a mother/daughter team formed in 1993 and has grown from 2 to 12 members and has the reputation as the top team in Cabarrus County located just outside of Charlotte, NC.
