Dandelions Common Weeds? I think not!

Dandelions Commons Weeds? I think not!Dandelions are not common weeds

Who can call this Flower a weed? Dandelions
greet the day with a bright, sunny, burst of
yellow. They scream, "Cheer!"

Ok, so you have this unrealistic desire for a green lawn, no weeds, no color, no character. Well, kill dandelions if you must, but you will loose. And ... you know why!

Each child (and those a child at heart) knows the pleasure of blowing those wonder white fuzz balls of dandelion seed into the wind. There they are lying in wait for you to turn your back. Just a quick blow of breath.

Seeds dancing across the yard, across the neighborhood, across the town, across the nation. Just think you may have a dandelion growing in your yard that blew in from the Outer Banks! I took the photo above in my Kitty Hawk front yard as my husband frowned on the little beauty. Look, there's a white fuzz ball waiting to be blown!

Plan carefully. Perhaps you should be cultivating dandelions and killing your grass! Just think. You would no longer have to fertilize, water, or mow your lawn, and you would be greeted every morning with many wonderful yellow, very happy smiles.

Now, If you are thinking of buying property on the Outer Banks but are concerned we don't have dandelions in this climate, don't worry. You can see they are here too. Just call me at 252-599-2845 or e-mail me. I will find you the best yards for you to enjoy your very own Outer Banks dandelions.
