House Flooded Inside!
This is a true story two times over. Several years ago one of my buyers in Ocean Sands on the Outer Banks had the ice maker water line fail and the house flooded inside. Since this was a rental home and in the off season, it was some time before the problem was found. And . . . the kitchen is on the top floor. Can you imagine the damage caused?!?
Then a few weeks ago one of my Kitty Hawk neighbors had the exact same problem. Of course, this is a second home so, once again, the home was vacant for a few days. Another house flooded inside!
Prevent this from happening to you.
Check your ice maker water line between the wall valve and refrigerator. Many of these lines are plastic. The failure is usually at the "o" ring at the appliance connection.
Go to your local hardware place and replace your existing hose with a new metal braided ice maker line before you spring a leak!
