The annual town Christmas Parade was held in Southern Pines today, and the turnout is sure to have been the highest ever. It was great to see so many people with their friends and family to celebrate an annual tradition in greater numbers than ever. With the media constantly trying to convince us that the sky is falling, it was refreshing to be among so many people marking one of the many traditions that make Southern Pines such a wonderful place to call home. We've got a lot to be thankful for even though the economy is struggling. Today was a reminder that things will get better!!
