It seems like it has been forever since I have blogged here. The last couple of months have been very busy. There has been so much going on I have not taken the time to sit down and update. This will be rather short today too. June was a great month. Everything I heard about sales picking up was true. July was slower as everyone was trying to get their vacations in before school starts back.
The first time home buyers have gotten a little more aggressive. They really need to. If they are not careful their opportunities will run out and they will be sitting on the sidelines wondering why they did not get the home they wanted and get the $8,000 tax credit. Don't drag your feet people. If you are a first time home buyer you need to get out here in the game now so that we can get you closed before the end of November.
If you are an existing homeowner who somehow thinks you have to get every dime out of the house you are selling before you are willing to let it go.....think again! Let your house go for a reasonable price based on today's market and then try to make it up on the purchase of your next home. If you wait to get your price, chances are most of the really good purchase deals will be gone. I have a short sale now that the listing price is over $45K less than what the buyers wanted for the house for over a year. Hopefully the lender will not drag their feet too much when we get an offer on it.
