Home sales are rising and clock is ticking

According to NAR home sales have been rising in the last few months accross the board. Good for all of us. But for those still out there thinking that the government is going to continue the home buyer tax credit up to $8000 well we will see. I certainly would not put all my eggs in one basket hoping that I will have more time. The deadline to get a home under contract is Oct 15, 2009 if you want to make sure you are closing on time. The tax credit ends Dec 1st. But that means you need to be closed out and recorded; lets not forget that it must record before it is yours. So really the deadline is Nov. 30th that everything needs to take place. For those of you who did not wait good for you. Proud that you have taken a step and were able to accomplish the American dream of homeownership. For some out there that feel this should be a right not a privilege we will talk later but that is for another post all together. Just wanted to remind all of you; you can still buy, there is still plenty of inventory out there and buyers are still getting good deals. I don't mean that the sellers are giving the houses away but are willing to negotiate.
