Raleigh-Cary Unemployment

I mentioned unemployment in my post Pending home sales improve yesterday but I didn't mention unemployment rates for the Raleigh area. My posts are supposed to be related to the local Raleigh real estate market and not just the national market.

According to BLS statistics from January 2010 for Raleigh-Cary, the rate of unemployment is 9.5%. The national average in January was 9.7%. However, statewide unemployment in NC was 11.1%. Reported NC numbers for February increased to 11.2%.
