Home Projects that Pay Off

Home Projects that Pay Off

A week ago we had a company come in and put in a stamped/stained concrete patio. I will say while it took two days longer then originally planned it is the best home improvement project we have done. I definitely believe that it will have a higher return on investment then any other project we have presently done.

We have totally redone our kitchen with new cabinets, new stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops. My wife was none to pleased to learn that she could not just add the cost of the renovation to the value of the home. I told her sorry it just did not work that way when you pick high end features.

Last year we put an addition onto the back of the home. We added approximately 350 square feet right off the kitchen with a room that has three sets of sliding glass doors and a glass side entry door. We had a tile floor and vaulted ceiling. The room is tied into the existing HVAC system and while we paid a good price it will still not exactly transfer over to the value of the home.

However this latest project after all my wife's wonderful touch in landscaping, and furnishing has added more then the cost of the project onto the value of our home.
