Wilmington NC Local Health Departments Gear Up For Flu Season

With our gorgeous 80 degree weather lingering it's hard to believe that Flu season is right around the corner. Don't get caught unprepared. Flu Clinics are up and running so take some time to get there soon for your shots, Elderly folks and people with poor health are the most vulnerable.

NEW HANOVER COUNTY

The NHC Health Department will give flu shots starting October 13. Appointments for the shots can be made starting October 2. Please call 798-6646 for an Appt.

Insurance Plans accepted for payment are: Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicaid, Medicare, State Employees Insurance and Health Choice.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY

Flu clinics will be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Health Department Boardroom starting October 2. There is a $30 charge for the shot Insurance Plans are accepted.
