Homes for Heroes | Joan Swift

picI heard Homes for Heroes mentioned about three times before I decided to find out what it was about. Once I learned more about the program, I knew I wanted to participate. I think it is a great way to give back to all of the un-sung heroes in our community and our country. The soldier that puts their life on the line for our freedom, the firefighters and first responders who help at every disaster, the police officer who patrols our streets so we can sleep soundly at night, the doctors and nurses that take care of us when we are sick, and the teachers who help expand our minds. These folks are truly heroes to me and I definitely believe that their ‘Service Deserves its Rewards’ as the Homes for Heroes slogan states.

I am very excited about becoming a part of the Homes for Heroes program and being able to help the heroes in my community to achieve the American dream of home ownership. Being a Homes for Heroes Affiliate is my way of showing my appreciation and saying “thank you for all you do”, to all of my heroes in the Triad area of North Carolina.
