On Sunday Nov 11th Celebrate Our Veterans

Wilmington National Cemetery, 2011 Market St. Events include patriotic music, a short address and a presentation of "A Veteran Is," a homily featured in Veterans Day programs. Veterans Day Service: 11 a.m.

Veterans Day Dance: 3-8 p.m. Babs McDance Social Dance Studio, music by Wilmington Big Band performs 4-8 beverages; demonstrations; dancing; games; movies; 50/50 raffle. Free to all military Located at 6782 Market St

Veterans Day Service: Calabah VFW Post 7288, 900 Carter Drive. Medals will be awarded to veterans of long-ago wars during the service.

Monday November 12th

Veteran's Memorial Park at the lake in Carolina Beach. American Legion Post 129 will have a wreath laying ceremony. A picnic lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers will follow about 1 p.m. at the post, Open to the public. Detail

Cape Fear Community College will hold a ceremony to honor U.S. military veterans on Monday, Nov. 12 at 12:00 noon in front of the Galehouse Building on Front St. in downtown Wilmington. patriotic music and light refreshments. Open to the Public
