Catawba Valley Community College’s Small Business Center will offer Step Up, Start Up. It is a series of six seminars to help individuals interested in starting a business understand the pros and cons of business ownership. The seminars begin Tuesday January 17, 2012 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and continue on consecutive Tuesday evenings through February 21, 2012 at Catawba Valley Community College’s East Campus.
The first session of the program is You, Inc. on January 17, 2012. Participants will learn how to weigh the pros and cons of business ownership and explore their skill sets, work experience, life goals, current and future financial needs, as well as tolerance for risk.
