Negative feedback..then I had it stages...WOW, what a difference!

I have had a townhouse on the market for several months. It was empty and I never had great feedback. The best I received was "it is clean and looks new". I decided to have it staged and am shocked at the difference. It has been a week, had two showings and both agents sent great feedback. It is in the top two of one of the buyers and the other agent called to see who my stager was :-)

I am so excited about the differnce the staging has made that I am including a two hour staging consultation with all of my new listings. I would rather pay a designer to give advice about staging the home than to have to tell my seller that the pink bedroom is not going to be greeted well with potential buyers. This way, I don't have to tell the seller anything that they may think is a "negative" remark and we can begin our working relationship on a more positive note.

If any of you agents have not tried the staging, it might be a great way to get your business going. Offer a free two hour consultation. The stagers I am using have agreed not to bill me until the home sells. It is a win-win for everyone. They will also be able to pick up extra business from the consultation.
