I did 12 years ago from Charlotte. I was born in Charlotte and lived there until 12 years ago when we decided to move to Monroe NC in Union County. It was the best move we made. We are minutes to Charlotte, but enjoy less traffic, lower taxes and the fact that you can be anywhere uptown Monroe within minutes. Union County has some beautiful land, if you want to live out in the country there is so much to look at. Or if you prefer to be in a subdivision with neighbors we have plenty to choose from.
