When considering a a Crystal Coast purchase you will eventually want to know what the tax rate in Carteret County is set at. Tax rate is calculated using the property tax assessment value. Value was assessed in 2007 and the rate was adjusted.
The following is the current tax rate chart. If the home/land is in a town you add county and that town plus the fire fees, solid waste fee. *note Oceanfront and non-oceanfront tax for island.
