In a recent report published by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, Raleigh came in at number 18 for the best labor-market performance among the nation's 100 largest Metropolitan Areas.
The annual study released this week shows that the Raleigh area job force came in at 405,100, which is down by 2,400 compared to the April 2009 number of 407,500.
Even with the .59% job loss, Raleigh-Cary still ranked higher than the 82 other metros in the study.
