Homes for Heroes is pleased to introduce our new Affiliate, Lois Magee!
“Lois is a licensed NC real estate broker who has been involved in everything from new home construction to rental property in the Raleigh market for over 20 years. Lois has a keen understanding of Raleigh where she has lived since 1984, and delivers honesty and integrity in each and every real estate transaction.
Lois exercises every day to try and keep pace with her three active children and husband of 26 years. Together they share a love of college basketball (Duke, her son goes there!), Italian food that she learned to cook while growing up, and cross country races that her son at Elon and daughter in high school participate in. The entire extended family now lives in Raleigh (yikes) and they all relied on Lois to choose great neighborhoods to raise their families.
Lois earned a BA in Mathematics and Information Science from SUNY Potsdam and began her professional career with IBM before following her passion into real estate. She is a dedicated volunteer at Ronald McDonald House in Durham and knows how little things can help those in need.
When asked about Homes for Heroes, Lois said ‘I am thrilled to be part of an organization that gives back to those who serve our communities in so many important ways. My husband’s father and brothers were police officers, one of which worked tirelessly ‘on the pile’ after 9/11. I have personally experienced the love and strength that hospital workers gave my family when we needed it, and have witnessed the passion of caregivers attending to families struggling with sick children. My own family has been touched by many dedicated, exceptional teachers for whom I am very grateful. Homes for Heroes allows me the opportunity to say thanks and lend my expertise to our local heroes. I am so pleased to be part of this group of professionals.’”
