Rules. Are you tired of rules yet? Better question is do you follow rules? Who writes the rules? When someones says that is a unwritten rule, do you have to follow it? People says rules are made to be broken. Who made that rule? Do Blondes really have more fun? Is that a rule?

What about networking? What rules do you follow? Here are my ten.

•1. Everything will fall into place if you are friendly. likability and trust

•2. Project your self-image of confidence in others. handshake, dress, hair

•3. Look someone in the eye as you speak. confidence, truth, and respect

•4. Consistent positive attitude will create positive responses and results.

•5. No connection is made without some risk. limit the risk by being prepared

•6. Ninety percent of success is showing up prepared. see above

•7. Do not focus on your motive to meet. build rapport

•8. Take an interest in people before expecting then to take interest in you. no duh!

•9. Common ground makes barriers disappear. link not a secret, finding link is

•10. The higher up the ladder you go, the more cautious people will be with your advances. Successful people are never in a big hurry to make a decision

I am sure there are many more, but following these ten will keep you straight. Is that a rule?
