Prompt Letter Written Write

The Introduction Letter

The introduction letter will work, if you write it write!

Business professionals, sales division managers, marketing directors have shown me example after example of different introduction letters. First the intro, then the follow up, the hand note, the offer they cannot refuse, etc. Most are written with a specific purpose and grammatically correct. Most of the letters are sorry!

These letters take a skill that is not developed in 5th grade grammar school. Paragraphs are not a minimum of 3 lines. Letters are not single spaced and blocked to the margins. There is lots of white space. And you are writing to 1 person, not a stadium full of bodies.

Bottom line is how you write will show your true colors. If you are creative, they will think you are creative. If you are intelligent, they will think you are intelligent, if you are cute, then they will think you are cute.

If you are hypnotic and persuasive, then they will buy!

Here are some rules that you should follow:

•1. Hit them with your first sentence. Objective, purpose and make it sexy.

•2. Use one and two sentence paragraphs. Less is more.

•3. One page only. Who has the time to read?

•4. Do not thank them for their time. Your time is just a valuable.

•5. Use Bullets for emphasis.

•6. Do not BOLD your name. You haven't sold anything.

•7. Don't always sell. Educate.

•8. Personalize it. Relate to your prospect

•9. Handwrite if possible (This may be scary!)

P.S. There is always a P.S. Make your point twice

After you have written the letter, put the letter in your drawer and pull it our 2 days letter. Now edit it 3 times! Sign your first name only and drop the letter in the mail.

Everyone should have an introduction letter. Don't forget to prompt a response.

These rules when put in practice will make writing fun. Now write like you talk and tell Ms. Grammar thanks but no thanks. I can do this!
