Wilmington NC: Airlie Gardens Concerts and Kayaks

Airlie Gardens is a 640 acre Oasis of plants, wild life, water features, ecosystems and sculptures in the heart of Wilmington. This Gem is located on Airlie Rd. off Oleander Drive and just a couple of miles from Wrightsville Beach. The have a variety of fun activities throught the season, Here a a couple of good choices for the first weekend in June

Airlie Concert Series

First Friday Jazz Concert Series features "The Imposters." Tickets are $8 adults, $2 children, and free for Airlie members. Bring your lawn chairs and/ or blankets, picnic baskets and libations. No Pets allowed

Kayak Eco Tour

Tour Bradley Creek with Salt Marsh Kayak Company Sunday 6/3. Sign up call Environmental Education Program at 910-798-7564 "A Creek Comes Alive", tour takes paddlers through Bradley Creek and focuses on the ecosystems of Bradley Creek . Kayakers will get to know the salt marsh ecosystem and how to conserve marsh ecosystems.

Registration is $50, limited to twelve (12) participants per tour. Provided will be a kayak, floatation device (PFD), paddle, guides, garden admission, and snack.
