The Wilmington NC area offers a choice of fun things to do this July 4th. Have fun! We wish you a safe and happy holiday! Stay Safe! Have fun!


Downtown Wilmington Riverfront Park at Water Street between Market Street and Princess Street. The Minute Men of the 440th North Carolina Army National Guard Band and the UNCW Wind Symphony will provide entertainment. Starts at 5:30

The Battleship North Carolina hosts the 11th annual 'Battleship Blast' fireworks at 9:05 p.m. Due to safety requirements, the entire Battleship complex on Eagles Island will be closed at 6 p.m. and vehicles will be required to leave by 6:30 p.m. Water Street will be closed to traffic from 2:30-10:30 p.m.

Downtown Wilmington Cruise aboard the 'Henrietta III'. Watch the firework display from the ship. July 4. Boards 30 minutes prior to cruise. Prepaid reservations required 343-1611. 6-9:30 pm

Wrightsville Beach Park is where to go for The Family Beach Fest. Featuring Moro Collins, ETA and others. Professional skateboarding demo, Fun for all ages: face painting, inflatable slide, games, and prizes. Refreshments available Bring chairs, umbrellas, Pets welcome. 12-6 p.m. July 4

Wrightsville Beach Planning to spend the day at the beach? Weather forecast is perfect so expect large holiday crowds, get there early and bring quarters for the meters. Best to car pool if possible. Don't forget your sun block and umbrella!

Like a Parade? SCOTTS HILL PARADE: 10 a.m. 9 miles north of Wilmington, Scotts Hill Parade begins at the four-way intersection of Lafayette Street and LaSalle Street.
