Anyone living in Wilmington NC knows what a dog loving town it is. and Wilmingtonians like to have their pooches out and about when they go out. So there has been a great response to the the long awaited leash free Dog Park at Empie. The collaboration of the Dept of Community Services, and the Dept. Of Publics Services along with the Wilmington Dog Park Committee has made this a wonderful refuge for pups possible.

Situated on a two acre site within Empie Park, Wilmington Dog Park is the first leash-free dog park in Wilmington.

Many of our beaches do not permit dogs during the tourist season, and most only on a leash. So dog owners have been lobbying for a place where Fido can roam freely and safely. Now it's here!

The Wilmington Dog Park is located at Empie Park at the corner of Independence Blvd and Park Avenue (behind Stein Mart.) Enter the park from Park Avenue.
