Blues at the Park: 12th Annual Cape Fear Blues Festival Wilmington NC

It's been a great summer for music venues here on the Cape Fear Coast, Our 12th annual Cape Fear Blues Festival is underway!

So get happy with Summertime Blues.. what a terrific way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Come on out and enjoy Day 2 of the festival at Hugh Mcrae Park.

Mojo Collins with his acoustic blues guitar will hit the stage at noon to open a full afternoon of live blues at Hugh the 98 acre park He'll be followed by Eric Culberson his Texas and Memphis-inspired blues. His style is authentic Memphis and Texas inspired, and he plays one mean blues burning guitar!

Maurice John Vaughn, who plays a soulful sax and also performs vocals accompanied by guitar on his own original blues compositions often humorous songs, is up next. Also on the bill will be Wilmington Music Award winners Tommy B. & The Stingers and former Cape Fear Blues Challenge winners the Dynamic Therm-O-Tones.

Refreshments and free parking are available on-site. Gates open at Noon (rain or shine) with live music nearly non-stop throughout the day.

Tickets are $12 in advance (at Finkelstein Music, 6 S. Front St.) or $16 at the gate. Coolers ok. NO GLASS. Sorry No Pets allowed Hugh MacRae Park (on Oleander Drive at South College Rd.)
