Remember, the $8,000 tax credit expires Dec 1, 2009. If you have not closed on a home by then, the tax credit will not be available.
If your able to buy, get out there and start looking, interest rates are great. You need to have at least 600 credit score for FHA and VA loans. I have several great lenders that I recommend if you want to start the home lending process. There are several programs out there. You may be able to use the $8,000 tax credit as down payment if you do not have enough down payment upfront. Just email or call me for those lender contacts.
In order to get the tax credit, you or your spouse cannot have owned a home within the past 3 years of the closing on the home you purchase this year. You must live in the new home you purchase this year for at least 3 years or have to return the tax credit.
