Feeling A Little Dizzy and Cloudy?

I'd like you to meet a couple of friends of mine, Dizzy and Cloudy. Yes, they are a couple of clowns.

I have had a bad case of the Blues today and I really did not feel like blogging but I dug deep, went to the photo album, found Dizzy and Cloudy and I knew I had found the right post to lift my spirits a bit.

Dizzy is no ordinary clown. He has won more awards then one can imagine. You can check out some of his credits by clicking on his picture. For those of you who don't want to click just let me mention Minot Shrine Clubs' own Ken "Dizzy" Gillespie was awarded the most prestigious honor presented by the International Shrine Clown Association (ISCA), the "Clown of The Year" award, at the recent MidWinter convention in Indianapolis. Also Ken (Dizzy) won five 1st place awards in the Clown Competition during the annual Midwest convention held this August in Sioux City, Iowa.

Ken's not a young man, he has been delighting kids of all ages for about 40 years now.

Ken's wife is a clown too! Meet Cloudy. Cloudy accompanies Dizzy much of the time and they make a GREAT pair. Dizzy has won numerous awards for his balloon art and Cloudy makes the kids equally happy with her face painting and tattoos.

The event in these pictures was a church party. Dizzy and Cloudy will show up anywhere you need them and I for one love seeing them just knowing what wonderful people they are.

Do clowns have off-spring??? Of course they do. I wish I had a picture of Sparkley to show you. She is the cutest thing this side of heaven. I only get to see Sparkly during the North Dakota State Fair parade here in Minot. She is so cute I'd put her picture up on the wall if I had one. Sparkley has been a friend of mine ever since I walked into the Christian Radio Station where she is the receptionist.

If you come to the North Dakota State Fair or to the Scandinavian Festival you surley will meet Dizzy and Cloudy. I'm sure they will brighten your day just as thinking about them has brightened mine today.
