Remembering Aunt Helen

February 27, 1923 to February 10, 2010

I want to thank my Aunt Helen for loving me, laughing with me, appreciating my humor and my straight forwardness. For letting me be me and loving me to pieces.

I want to thank her for raising the most awesome people in the world, her children. all six of them, with unique personalities and good natures and God fearing, giving, generous intelligent people. I have too many memories to mention and will wish a hundred times a year I could talk to her. I will wish I had called her more last year and visited with her at every opportunity.

I look at her photos and most all of them have smiling happy people in them; Her, her children, the people around her. I hope she knows how she brightened lives as she touched them. I am afraid she had no idea, and that makes me sad. She was humble and kind.

She knew Gil and I were in love and she was not surprised we are still that way, 40 years later. She and her family were instrumental in us meeting and getting together in 1970.

Helen and Her husband Uncle Bob loved me through hard times and good. Always there with a good word, a prayer, a listening and encouraging word.

I do not think there is another person left on this earth who loved me or knew me inside out, appreciated me or trusted me the way she did.

I will miss her and will remember her smiling caring face and ways and when I get to heaven I will find her there. She will be laughing, smiling, dancing, singing, praying and praising God.

She is organizing a get together and making sure no one is left out.

Have fun Aunt Helen and when I get there, will you plan a huge party for me? I know you will. Kisses and hugs forever and ever. See ya when I get there. Donna Jeanne.
