February 2010 Omaha Real Estate Market Report. February 2010 is off to a good start. Active listings increased by 315 listings from February 8, 2010 to March 8, 2010. February 2010 active listings were 3,378, compared to February 2009 active listings of 3,065 increase of 8% year to year. Sold listings for February 2010 increase from January 2010, but are up slightly compared to February 2009.
The increase in active listings is not a surprise. Spring is around the corner and the best time to sell a home is now through July. The race is on for home buyers and sellers to take advantage of the federal tax credit offered to home buyers.
