On Thursday, December 13, 2007 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM the Omaha Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors will hold their annual Officer Installation and Holiday Reception at the Regency Lake and Tennis Club. Refreshments will be served and guests are welcome. They are also collecting donations for the WCR Annual Angel Tree for Women's Shelter of Catholic Charities. They are asking everyone to bring unwrapped gift in a gift bag. (I'll probably put my items in a box, and my wife helps me out as well) :-)
They are looking for items such as women's clothing, personal care items, toys, children's games, etc. Probably one of the biggest misconceptions about WCR is that you have to be female to join. Not so, anyone male or female can join. It is a worthwhile organization. Initially, I thought you had to be a female Realtor to be a member as well. I went to a luncheon and saw who attended and gathered that if the who's who of the Omaha market is a member of WCR then I should join as well.

David, this is one of the best chapters in the country. No, you don't have to be a woman to be involved in WCR-only supportive of women in real estate! It's a well kept secret! 10% of members are men
Joeann, thanks for the comment. We really have an active chapter and some top notch folks at the top. They do a tremendous amount of work for education, and the community.
