This past Fall I did a post about the Second Annual PIC Auction called I Aint No French Maid! The biggest "ticket " item bid on was a dinner for eight, cooked in the Buyers home, totalling five courses. My Brother, who is a Chef with his own restaurant, Sul Mare in Tenants Harbor Maine, donated his services. I was elected to help prep and serve!
The lucky winners requested that I come attired as a French Maid....and being used to being accommodating...as most good Realtors are......
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our dinner was this past Sunday evening just outside of Concord in Bow, NH.
We arrived at the house at 4:30 with a 6:00 dinner hour planned.
I was dressed in appropriate attire!
We prepped for the Minestrone Soup, Caesar Salad and stuffing for the Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli (one of four entrees available) While I was chopping Kevin was proofing the bread!
Good Stuff!
The Menu
Tuscan Vegetable Minestrone
Caesar Salad
Potato Gnocchi with Maine Shrimp, Lobster and Tomato Basil Cream
CHOICE OF:
Asian Maine Shrimp Ravioli with Nantua
Wood Roasted Leg of Lamb with Fresh Tomato, Rosemary and Chianti
Honey Glazed Chicken Breast with Brodo
Haddock Picatta with Capers, Herbs, Lemon and Parmesan
:Dolce
Tiramisu Di Casa
They were a very happy group!
Kevin took the time to explain all the courses and what they consisted of.
He even divulged a few "secrets" The dessert was the piece de' resistance. Everyones favorite...Tiramisu!
Everyone was satiated!
WOW Joan! You do in fact make a lovely French maid and Congratulations, What a great task you accomplished. That was so fun to read and see your interpretation. Daug on it, the old axiom is alive and well, "where there is a will, there is a way" and you certainly demonstrated that with wonderful panache! Well done.
Sincerely,
William
