Contact Phone Calls and a Roof on-Day Twelve-of the 2011 December Blogging Challenge-BEAACPI, the color of the skin makes no difference. For what is good and just for one is good and just for the other.

Today is the 12th of December 2011, plus its the twelfth day of the 2011 December Blogging Challenge which myself and many other members of the ActiveRain Real Estate Blogging Site are taking part in. (This morning I logged into the AR site to see if anyone had stop by to visit and leave a comment on the blog posts which I posted last night to write a reply back to, which there were two folks which had. Then I got down to the real work I had at hand for today.)




Contact Phone Calls and a Roof on-Day Twelve- of the 2011 December Blogging Challenge-BEAACPI, this morning I made a few contact phone calls to some folks, these calls were for a wide range of many different business contact reasons. As I was hanging up the phone from the last call.

There was a knock at the door, it was around 10:40 A.M. or so. When I open the door it was one of my good neighbors from down the road, he was needing some help over at his home. One of the big trees in his yard had decided it no longer wanted to stand. It fell sometime during the night or during the early morning. My neighbor did not know for sure, because he was not at home when it had happen, he had spent the night at one of his son's home. When the tree came down, on of the big branches had gone through part of his home's roof.

That might not sound like that big of a deal to some folks, they would just get on the phone with their Home Owner Insurance Agent. Will the problem in this case, my neighbor could no longer afford to pay for Home Owner Insurance on the home, so he had cancel his Insurance about three Month's ago. The first thing which we did was to start cutting up the tree. Then once that was done, I checked to see just how much damage had been done to the roof area itself besides the hole. Then I made a few calls to find out how much the materials we were going to need in order to fix the roof would cost. I was lucky, the second place which I called, donated everything which we needed to fix my neighbor's roof. I was asked by the own of the company not to disclose the company name. We went and picked up the materials and got done fixing the roof just as it was getting to dark.
