Cornish Flat A Virtual Tour Event being held in Cornish New Hampshire, come to enjoy learning about Cornish Flat, New Hampshire Monday evening of the 10th of October 2011. It was named for residents who came from Cornish, England, a mining town, and incorporated in 1765 by Colonial Governor Benning Wentworth.

This here A Virtual Tour Through History in Cornish Flat, is Free for folks to attend. The virtual tour is being held in the upstairs meeting room of the Cornish Town Office Building, which is located at 488 Town House Road in Cornish, New Hampshire. The hosts of the event are Linda Fuerst and Beth Lum, they will lead the folks attending back to the earlier times when the homes in Cornish Flat were centers of thriving businesses. There will be refreshments served to folks attending, following the program.

Cornish Flat A Virtual Tour Event being held in Cornish New Hampshire, Cornish also became a well-known summer resort for artists and writers. Seeking a studio away from the summer heat of New York City, sculptor AugustusSaint-Gaudens began coming to Cornish in 1885. Artist friends followed him, transforming the area into a popular artists' colony. Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in Cornish, New Hampshire is at his former home and studio, and hosts summer concerts as well as ongoing exhibits. The Town of Cornish is also the site of the United States Longest Wooden Covered Bridge, plus the World's Longest two-span Covered Bridge. The Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge, which spans over the Connecticut Rive, this here Covered Bridge was build back in 1866 at and original cost of just $9,000.00
