New Castle NH saw some very nice activity this past year, despite what the news media would have us all think with all the negative and sensational headlines.
Homes in New Castle saw a higher average sales price, more homes sold, and we also saw the average days on the market decrease for 2007.
I'd say that shows a pretty good market in New Castle New Hampshire!
New Castle is a really quaint and charming town right on the coast of NH, and is actually comprised of several islands, all connected by causeways.
Homes in New Castle NH date back to the 1600's to brand new homes, all on narrow winding streets, many with wonderful water views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Piscataqua River, or any number of back channel views.

And all this information is just further proof that all real estate is local, and that the media that continues to harp on a 'national real estate market' really need to get a clue and understand that there is NO SUCH THING.
It's really very important for consumers to speak to a local real estate expert, and disregard the broad brush the news continues to paint all of us with. We have great news in the real estate industry right here in our own backyard!
New Castle New Hampshire is such a charming seaside town. If you're looking for island living and you want to be close to everything, you just might want to consider making New Castle NH your next home.
It's no wonder so many people love living here in this area of NH and making it their HOME!! If you're interested in learning more about making New Castle your home, ........... I'm at your service!!!

Good market reporting. Enjoyed reading - I'm sure that you clients and customers benefit from your efforts in reporting the market to them. Ok Listen up, everyone in New Castle, New Hmshire - Give Ann a call for all of your real estate needs! Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday.
New Castle sounds just delightful. Is it a year round community, on the whole, or is it primarily vacation/seasonal homes? Is this part of New Hampshire very cold in the winter, or does the ocean keep the temps more moderate?
Ann, several years ago PBS did a special on New Castle..I can't remember why, but I do remember it being such a pretty place. The older homes there must be built very well to have lasted 400+ years!
Ann--Awesome write up on the market in New Castle...Love the photos and layout. Looks like a picture perfect place to live!
Ann. That's not a very large market. How many agents compete for the business??
Hey...
One of my little sisters used to live in New Castle...It's a nice little town.
And you are quite correct. Real Estate is local...very local.
TLW...ROAR!
New Castle is a small town...very pretty and very exclusive. I love it there.
Ann, You post are such a valuable resource for residents and relocating clients as well. Great job!

Judi - thanks for that little plug! I enjoy putting these reports together, and I hope consumers enjoy them as well.
Karen - New Castle is just about the quaintest little island town you'll find. It's year-round, with some 2nd homes mixed in but the vast majority live and work right here in this area. The ocean does a wonderful job, most of the time, keeping us a little cooler during the hotter days of summer, and it keeps the winters typically more moderate as well. Gotta love life along the ocean!
Linda - how cool that special must have been, and sorry to say I missed it! Hmm, I might go try to find it in their archives - that would be neat to be able to link to if I could find it. And you're right about the ages of homes here - some of them do date back to the early 1600's. Lots of history on these little islands here in New Castle!
Teri - thanks for those nice comments!
Lenn - New Castle is part of the Portsmouth Seacoast market. All the towns right in this area make up this market - Portsmouth, New Castle, Newington, Rye, North Hampton, Greenland, and a couple of towns in southern Maine are part of this same market as well. Our towns here are small, geographically, and our coastline is only 17 miles long - very easy and quick to go from one town to the next.
TLW - I bet your sister enjoyed living here when she was up here. I hope you had the opportunity to come visit her while she lived in New Castle - beautiful charming little village.
Monika - it's hard not to enjoy and appreciate this pretty little town - one of my favorites to meander around!
Ginger - thank you for that very nice comment! I really appreciate that.
Many thanks for all the very nice comments!
