Ok - that's it! I'm moving to Portsmouth! (after I figure out what lucma is)
Hi Ines - thanks for reading, and I know you'd love it here!! I certainly do - can't imagine living anywhere else at all.
Ann
Ann - You create such beautiful and informative posts about New Hampshire. You have a full summer of activity there. Can't wait to see your tall ship pictures! :)
OK Ann...looks like you need to take off the month of July. Otherwise how will you give a report on all the activities?
Looks like a blast!
Did they ever decide on wether the tourist ships could manage Portsmouth harbor?
Hi Paula - thank you so much for that very nice compliment!! I am really looking forward to the Tall Ships being here, and hope I can manage to get a good spot to catch them from for pictures. I've a feeling Portsmouth is going to get very crowded for those 3 days that they're in port.
Ann
Hi Joan - It does look like I need the month off to do all that, doesn't it? And there were even more things that I didn't include. There are some really fun things listed there - I hope those who go really enjoy them all!
I'm not sure if the Tall Ships will come down the river under sail or not. Of course, they certainly used to way back in the olden days when that's all there was for water travel. I hope they do, that will be so magnificent to see! Are you coming over to Portsmouth to check them out during the 3 days they'll be in port?
Ann
Wow!! I love all the musical options there...a Tribute to the Beatles!! Sound of Music!! KC and the Sunshine Band!! Westside Story!! I wanna visit... Geez...what do you for fun up there? Wow!!
the plays in the park were great.
i miss benny baldwin and the big note.
and
there was never enough room for the shaw brothers
AND
oh the flowers.
i may be here (ft. myers), but right now i'm there
THANKS
Ann.... this all does look beautiful and such. I have been in the little waterways up and around Boston, the small fishing towns. But never to NH or Maine. Looks like I'll need to make a trip some time. thanks for sharing this.
Susie - we do have a lot of options for fun, don't we? And that is only the tip of the iceberg, believe it or not! Come on up for a visit - I guarantee you'll have a GREAT time!!!
Jay - Prescott Park is looking gorgeous about now! That is such a huge benefit to living here - the plays, the concerts, the festivals, and so much more. The Shaw Brothers still make appearances here and there. They're spending more time down south, better horse country. One of the Shaw Brothers was a client of mine a few years back - he and his wife are wonderful people. Come back up for a visit!
Ann
Hi Jeff - In and around Boston is great, but you need come a little further north, about 45 minutes more, and you'll be right here in my beautiful neck of the woods. Portsmouth is right on the border of NH and Maine, so you can cover 2 states at once! If you ever do come this way for a little visit, please be sure and let me know.
Ann
Yet another excellent and well put-together post from the Lady who really SHOULD be Mayor of her Portsmouth.
Mariana - how sweet that comment is! I do love living here in Portsmouth, that's for sure!
Thanks!
Ann
